If you intend to board your horse at the stables, contact the stables at 1-877-276-3622 for information and reservations. The stables close in 2013 on October 21.Wildwood Stables does not currently offer horses to rent for horseback riding but do provide carriage rides. Primitive campsites are available nearby for an additional cost to people renting stalls for their own horses. If you intend to ride your horse in Acadia National Park but not board it at the Wildwood Stables, check with an official National Park representative about the current special regulations concerning horseback riding in the park. Don't trust hearsay. Acadia National Park is a wonderful place to ride but do be careful for your sake and the sake of your animal and obey the regulations.
